2020 Emmy® Nomination feat. Jecorey Arthur

ICYMI please congratulate Kentucky's very own Brandon S. Turner for being a 2020 Emmy® Nominee! So much has changed since I appeared in his segment last summer. We'll have to do a followup — from the streets to the stage, to the classroom, to the council.

As I visited schools across the city, I eventually realized Louisville’s issues were deeper than a lack of access to quality education. As long as our social, political, and economical systems fail — the educational one will fail even worse.

This segment is dear to my heart as it documents so many questions that I’ve started to answer in this new journey of politics. I am thankful for Brandon, KET, and everyone involved for sharing the story of a kid from the West End. Emmy or not, we won hearts and minds.
